The environmental activist Arlindo Marquês was sued by the paper production company Celtejo after Marquês denouncement of Celtejo allegedly polluting the Tagus River. The company is justifying its action by stating the claims by Marquês are damaging the image and reputation of the company. The company is seeking 250.000 euros in damages. The company did not respond to our invitation to comment.
