Flora Guerrero Goff, an environmental activist who opposes the construction of the Cuernavaca Paso Exprés road, was allegedly beaten and harassed on 15 August in the parking lot of a commercial area in Cuernavaca after assailants faked a car accident. She is the president of Guardianes de los Arboles, an organization which has pointed to irregularities in the environmental character of the Paso Exprés road.
