NGOs and communities filed a legal appeal against a wind project in Istmo Region in Oaxaca due to the alleged lack of the right to consult. Additionally, locals blocked the road and entrance to the park due to the company's alleged breach of agreements. The police detained 11 people and charged them with extortion.
