On April 20, an investigative journalist of Volyn24 portal Serhiy Shapoval and Channel 12 operator Roman Kharchenko were attacked during an investigation into illegal sale of diesel fuel. The incident took place at the premises of Agro-Druzhba company in Ternopil region. The journalists were brutally beaten and for some time even forcibly kept in the company building. The operator received a concussion. Sergiy Shapoval received a puncture wound on his cheek. Their equipment was destroyed. The police opened a criminal case.
