China: Human Rights Now requests further information from Uniqlo

In January 2015, a report was released on labour rights violations in factories in China supplying the Japanese apparel giant Uniqlo, by Human Rights Now (HRN: an international human rights organisation based in Japan), Students and Scholars against Corporate Misbehaviour, and Labour Action China (both based in Hong Kong). The report contained allegations of inadequate pay, forced overtime, and health hazards. Uniqlo subsequently released a statement committing the company to improvements. These all can be accessed here.

In November 2015, HRN released a statement stating that Uniqlo had failed to continue consultations with the organisation, and that information regarding any improvement was inadequate. In January 2016, Uniqlo sent a Japanese language response to HRN (and later on to the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre). The response also contains information on previous HRN allegations regarding suppliers in Cambodia.
