On 21 November 2022, community members from Challhuahuacho denounced police repression against protesters. Allegedly a police contingent violently attacked the residents who were blocking part of the mining corridor in the Qehuira sector, the location of Minera Las Bambas (MMG), where they allegedly took a community member by force to the Challhuahuacho police station.
