…At KONICA MINOLTA, we are firmly committed to respecting human rights throughout our global operations and supply chains. Our approach is guided by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct.
We recognize the importance of human rights, particularly those affecting foreign migrant workers in the manufacturing process. To address these risks, we have established the Konica Minolta Supply Chain Code of Conduct, which we require all suppliers to comply with. In addition, we conduct annual CSR questionnaire surveys to monitor and promote responsible practices. Based on the results of these surveys, we also conduct on-site assessments for suppliers where the urgency and severity of potential risks warrant further investigation.
We have been working together with Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) and its parent company, Kinpo Group, to promote human rights initiatives, including annual CSR questionnaire surveys, and have worked together to address issues that have come to light, such as the return of recruitment fees and improvements to working conditions.
