Palestine: Research alleges violations of online rights by international technology companies

Research by 7amleh – The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media examines the effects of governmental and business policies and practices on Palestinian digital rights.

“Are YouTube’s Policies Biased Against Palestinians?” considers the implications of YouTube's policies and practices for human rights generally, and the Palestinian context specifically, including inclusion and exclusion criteria applied to Palestinian content.

Systematic Efforts to Silence Palestinian Content On Social Media examines the takedown of Palestinian content from social media. It argues increases in takedowns reflect changes in government pressure and the policies of social media company, primarily Facebook.
