Scotland: Human Rights Commission invites submissions to undertake comparative study on development of NAPs in other countries; study to inform Scottish framework

"Research Tender: Business and Human Rights", 24 July 2018

[The Scottish Human Rights Commission] is leading on the development of a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights... [SHRC] invites interested parties to submit an application to undertake a short comparative study exploring the development of [...] B&HR NAPs in other countries and to make recommendations about the best framework to adopt in Scotland. The study should review best practice relating to the drafting and implementation of National Action Plans, as well as frameworks for monitoring and evaluation of their delivery... In general, the study should identify: Best practices, challenges and lessons learned, [and] the role of NHRIs in the development and monitoring of B&HR NAPS. In particular the study should provide information and guidance on: the specific activities and institutional arrangements needed for effective implementation, [and] methods for evaluation, including tools for effective monitoring and reporting of the NAP by public and private sectors. The successful application will conduct a scoping exercise of existing primary research and draw the findings together into a report.
