Rather than joining forces with the business lobby and the US administration to close down avenues of redress like the Alien Tort Provision, the Government should be putting into place effective legislation in the UK. They should use the UN Human Rights Norms for Business as a benchmark that would widen access to justice for those adversely affected by the activities of multinational corporations.
