We invited Atico Mining to comment on an open letter from civil society organisations and representatives of social movements in Ecuador about their ‘deep concern about the militarisation, criminalisation and intimidation of peasant, Montubio and indigenous people and communities in the parish of Palo Quemado’, but the company did not respond.
