Meta responds to allegations of facilitating Israeli-led censorship campaign

We strongly disagree with the allegations in the article, especially accusations of bias against our staff.

We don't take content down simply because someone tells us to, whether the Israeli government or otherwise. We first check if the content violates our policies, and then conduct a legal review followed by human rights due diligence if it doesn't. We are transparent about policy violating content we enforce on in our Community Standards Enforcement Report as well as action we take in response to government takedown requests based on local law.

To this day, we remain the only company to have ever carried out and disclosed third-party human rights due diligence about Israel Palestine.
