[This guide details] how the Government expects organisations to develop a credible and accurate slavery and human trafficking statement each year and sets out what must be included in a statement… A statement must contain the steps an organisation has taken to prevent modern slavery in its supply chains and own business, … be approved and signed by a director, member or partner of the organization … [and] be published on an organisation’s website with a link in a prominent place on the homepage….Reporting requirements can drive better strategic understanding of the risks and impacts of an organisation’s core activities in relation to the environment and human rights
