UK: Three anti-fracking activists become first environmental campaigners to be jailed for protest since 1932

Three anti-fracking activists were allegedly the first environmental campaigners to be jailed for a protest in the UK since 1932. They were sentenced after being convicted of causing a public nuisance by a jury in August 2018. They were released in October 2018, after their sentences were replaced by conditional discharges.
