On 12 June 2024, five members of the Nagari Kapa Pejuang Farmer Community were summoned by the West Pasaman Police with an invitation for a clarifying interview regarding a report by palm oil company PT Permata Hijau Pasaman (PHP) I, part of Wilmar Group, to the community. The community is engaged in a long term land rights struggle with the company.
