Activist Angelo Doyle was arrested during a three-day campout at Standard Bank in September 2023, and was charged with public violence and common assault. He has made 13 court appearances.

Activists have been protesting for the bank to stop its funding to fossil fuels, which may include the controversial crude oil pipeline EACOP.
