Japan: Two members of Private School Teachers Union strike for better working environment at Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen; incl. co. response

On 7 October 2021, two teachers at Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen alleged overtime and severe working conditions and announced to go on strike. Kadokawa Dwango Gakuenis an educational institution that operates large private correspondence high schools including N High School, where the two worked before.

They belong to a labour union "the Private School Teachers Union". The strike called for several changes that alleged to form a harsh working environment, including reducing the number of students for a teacher in a homeroom and better wages. The two claimed that many teachers decided to leave the school due to the poor working environment.

Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen released a comment on 21 October 2021, denying the allegations made by two members. The full response is shown below.
