Myanmar: Garment workers sue factory owner over labour rights violations; incl. co. response

In August 2024, it was reported that a trial regarding the Chu Yang (Myanmar) factory owner had begun, who was facing 13 cases against them since the beginning of 2024, related to: three cases of unfair dismissal, 1 case of discrimination, 2 breaches of employment contract, 2 cases of non-signing of employment contract, 1 violation of the right to organise, 3 cases of wage deduction and 1 case of collective wage increase for 140 workers.

In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Otto Group to respond. The response can be found below.
