At the end of August 2014, Luis Cardenas, General-Secretary of the Prosegur Cash in Transit Union, was injured after being smashed across the head with a rock. This followed other threats, apparently due to his labour union activities. UNI Global Union started a campaign to protect his life. UNI filed a complaint with the Spanish OCDE national contact point against Prosegur. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Prosegur to respond; the response is provided in Spanish.
