On 6 April 2024, well-known climate activist Greta Thunberg was arrested alongside about 100 other protesters by police as the protesters blocked a main highway in The Hague, Netherlands during a protest called to denounce the Dutch government's tax concessions for companies connected to the fossil fuel industry, including the energy firm, Shell, and the airline, KLM.
