Barclays Bank is supporting the creation of a microcredit scheme accessed through a bank account for people on low incomes in northern England. Salford Money Line is an example of how banks can work in partnership with the local community [in this case Barclays works with Money Line’s other founding partners, Salford city council & University of Salford] to provide services that are tailored to the needs of the financially excluded
