C&A’s response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories - October 2024 Update

Due to the fire from March 2021 we had no production in the completely damaged factory any longer. We understood from GTIG that after rebuilding the factory operations started again in August 2021 with a limited number of workers. According to GTIG, the affected workers did receive subsidies with the support of SMART Myanmar in August/October 2021 and January 2022. C&A stopped order placement in Myanmar in March 2021.
