The Sudanese Doctors' Network announced on Saturday that six people died and nine were injured after a gold mine collapsed in the Al-Baouqa area of River Nile State in northern Sudan. The network said the mine collapsed on 15 workers while they were on site, causing them to fall. The organization condemned the loss of lives and held the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company fully accountable for the repeated mine collapses.

The Business and Human Rights Centre invited the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company to respond to the allegations, but no response was received.
