Farmworkers who have worked for three specific companies in North Carolina and suffered abuses in their employment now have the opportunity to apply for "deferred action." This is an immigration protection that will allow them to stay and work legally in the United States for up to four years.
The companies involved are Gracia & Sons, Jose M. Gracia Harvesting and QSI, confirmed Enlace Latino NC Francisco Díaz Pinelo, Communications Leader of the Migrant Rights Center.
