Associated British Foods response

[Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Associated British Foods to respond to concerns by Oxfam about the possibility of sugar in its supply chain leading to land grabs. Response provided.] We take our responsibilities very seriously indeed as is evidenced by our latest CR report issued this month. The company does not engage in land-grabs, and we have told Oxfam that this is the case. What the company will not do, is to enact policies that are worded in the way that Oxfam is dictating. Actions matter more than words. We are proud of our track record on human rights, and will continue to progress this work in our own way.”
