[DOC] Response to BT’s comments of 22 March 2011

BT’s response on 22 March 2011 to the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre utterly fails to address the substance of campaigners’ concerns. In fact, BT’s brief reply is very similar to the standard email text that has been used by the company to date, indicating a lack of seriousness in responding to the Centre’s engagement. To be clear – BT can no longer say that it is unaware of the deep complicity of its partner company Bezeq in violations of international law and human rights. These are the same rights that BT states it is committed to protecting in all of its business relationships. [Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited BT and Bezeq to respond to this rejoinder. BT response is below. Bezeq declined to respond]
