Man Files Religious Discrimination Lawsuit Against Westerville Company [USA]

A lawsuit filed by attorneys…on behalf of a…man alleges religious discrimination by his former employer...Yusuf Sufi…said he was fired after asking for a religious accommodation to leave work for one hour in order to go to a local mosque to say his Friday prayers. Sufi worked for Exel [part of Deutsche Post]...According to the lawsuit Sufi was granted a religious accommodation during his first few months at the company and was allowed to leave to pray but that was revoked when his managers changed…In a statement...Vice President of Communications for Exel…said:"Exel is committed to providing an equal opportunity workplace…[T]he allegations…neither conform nor align with the way we do business in any of our sites.
