Union calls on Marriott to negotiate measures to combat sexual harassment

 

On 30 May the IUF made global demands on Marriott regarding sexual harassment. Specifically they called on Marriott to negotiate measures to:

  • prevent or discourage sexual harassment,
  • measures to respond to incidents of sexual harassment immediately, and
  • measures to ensure that workers who have experienced incidents of sexual harassment are encouraged to come forward with complaints of sexual harassment, and that these complaints are dealt with fairly and promptly

We invited Marriott to respond to the demand to negotiate on these points.  On 16 July Marriott sent a resonse outlining its approach to tackling sexual harassment.  You can access Marriott's response below.
