The 11th session of the UN open-ended intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights (IGWG) to discuss the draft binding treaty took place on 20-24 October 2025 at the UN in Geneva.
As per the revised programme of work and methodology for the 11th session, discussions focused on Articles 12 to 24, before addressing the summary report on the intersessional thematic consultations that took place in April and June 2025:
- April 2025: Articles 4 (Rights of victims), 5 (Protection of victims), and 7 (Access to remedy). Non-paper available here.
- June 2025: Articles 6 (Prevention), 8 (Legal liability), 9 (Jurisdiction), 10 (Statute of limitations) and Article 11 (Applicable law). Non-papers available here and here.
As an annex to the report, the Chair also shared suggestions for redrafting selected provisions (Articles 4 to 11) of the updated draft legally binding instrument.

Summary report on 2025 intersessional thematic consultations
