Gulf: Mobile app helps Bangladeshi workers to make informed decision about their migration and provides online complaint mechanism

"'SafeStep' app launched to ensure safe migration" 10 June 2021

A mobile application named “SafeStep” has been launched which aims to develop knowledge about safe and orderly migration.

This app has been developed for Bangladeshi expat workers, especially those working in the different gulf countries.

Migrant workers, by using this app, will be able to digitally store records of their verbal agreements regarding migration.

The app is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

....... Meanwhile, Director of Bangladeshi Ovibashi Mohila Sramik Association (BOMSA) Farida Yeasmin said: “Female migrant workers, in general, are weak in using digital means. So, training sessions should be organized so that a greater number of female workers can learn how to use this app before leaving the country.
