Larsen & Toubro acknowledges the recent issue involving workers engaged through one of our subcontractors in Tunisia. While the incident occurred at a subcontracted site, as the principal employer, we take complete responsibility for the wellbeing of every individual working on our projects.

The moment the matter came to our attention, L&T acted swiftly to ensure the workers’ safe return home and facilitated the transfer of all pending dues directly to their bank accounts. At L&T, respect for human values forms the core of everything we do, and we expect the same from every partner within our supply chain.

Although L&T provides a formal grievance management system, no such grievance was filed through this channel. We are further strengthening our monitoring and compliance mechanisms to prevent any recurrence. L&T will always be committed to the highest moral, ethical and humanitarian standards in everything we do.
