Myanmar: Brands asked to respond to leave & child labour allegations at Maiyi Bei Garment factory; incl. co. response

In October 2024, it was reported that the Maiyi Bei Garment factory told workers who returned home after the holiday that they were not going to be paid for the holiday because they returned to work one day late. Workers also reported that underage workers are forced to work at the same level as their adult counterparts, the transport provided by the factory is too crowded, putting workers at risk, and workers are not receiving their full wages.

In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Alcott, Hang Ten, LPP and Original Marines to respond. Only LPP responded - the response can be found below.
