Rostekhnadzor confiscated unsafe equipment from Dalpolimetall, 13 May 2024
During a routine inspection of the underground mines Yuzhny, 2nd Soviet, and Nikolayevsky, the Far Eastern Directorate of Rostekhnadzor discovered serious violations of industrial safety regulations at JSC GMC Dalpolimetall. As a result, five company officials and the legal entity received warnings, and the company’s manager was issued a notice to rectify the violations.
Serious violations refer to breaches of industrial safety that directly threaten the life or health of people. The inspection also revealed an understaffed workforce. Mining operations at the site were conducted with deviations from the project, and during the organization of excavations, the support design and roof control were not followed.
Additionally, those mine workings that served as emergency exits were blocked by rock mass, which hindered free passage of personnel and ventilation.
The technical equipment that was being used in violation of safety regulations was taken out of service by the management, according to the press service of the Far Eastern Directorate of Rostekhnadzor.
