Samsung response to allegations of gender-based harm

We would like to stress, that Samsung Electronics is committed to respect human rights across our value chain. This includes, but is not limited to, our commitment to occupational health and safety, non-discrimination and diversity, anti-harassment, and product and digital responsibility as outlined in our Global Human Rights Principles. Our Labour and Human Rights Framework provides an integrated working model to manage our human rights due diligence process from identifying, preventing and mitigating human rights risks, and our Global Grievance Resolution Policy to effectively address any grievances of all employees, partners in our value chain, consumers and more. Through regular trainings, due diligence, transparent disclosure, access to remedy and multi-stakeholder engagement, we work actively to advance human rights.
We would also like to highlight that Samsung Electronics endorsed the Women's Empowerment Principles in 2023. In March 2022, Samsung Electronics developed and released an Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy, reflecting our commitment to respecting our employees’ right to work in an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment, and to creating an environment in which our employees are respected, equal opportunities are guaranteed, and they can fulfill their potential.
Finally, regarding the allegations in the report, you will have seen that Samsung has previously responded to them in writing to the BHRRC.
