South Sudan: Amnesty International says telecommunications companies complicit in unlawful surveillance leading to breach of privacy & arbitrary arrests; incl. Zain's response, VivaCell and Verint did not respond

Amnesty International's report says communications surveillance with equipment bought in Israel, and likely with support from the telecommunication companies has been used in illegal surveillance leading to breach of the right to privacy, to arbitrarily arrest and illegally detain individuals and infringe on press freedoms and the freedom of opinion and expression and the freedom of assembly. [Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited Vivacell, Verint and Zain to respond. Zain's response is included. Verint and Vivacell did not respond]
