While some gains have been made in the war on poverty over the past 50 years, it is clear that new models are needed for attacking a problem that is devastating not only people’s lives, but also the environment. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development upholds that any new model must involve the business world, working in partnership with governments and civil society.
