Ex-CIBC banker wins discrimination suit [UK]

[A] banker dismissed at the age of 42 from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce's London offices has won an age discrimination suit. A British employment tribunal ruled that Achim Beck, a German national, had been "unfairly dismissed" from CIBC on the basis of age, though it ruled against his claims that the bank was also more favourable to Canadian employees. A CIBC spokesperson in Canada said the bank is reviewing the decision, issued by the London South Employment Tribunal.
