Burma Campaign UK alleges that Apple hosts “[a]pps controlled by the Burmese military which use racist language against the Rohingya minority, and which deny genocide.” Specifically, Burma Campaign UK states that Apple hosts apps for military-owned Mytel, “which helps to fund the Burmese military and the violations of international law which they commit” as well as the new social media app, OKPar, which is “created by the military as part of its attempt to limit access to information from independent social media sources such as Facebook.”

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Apple to respond. The company did not.
