Myanmar: Facebook urged to take down military owned companies' pages following UN report detailing how such companies help fund the military & the human rights violations they commit

An online petition by Burma Campaign UK garners 52,000 signatures to urge Facebook to take down pages of Burmese military companies after the United Nations investigators “detailed how these military owned companies help fund the military and the human rights violations they commit”. Burma Campaign UK said that “Facebook have ignored calls to take down the pages”.

Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited Facebook to respond to the online petition. Facebook did not.
