Regarding the current situation in Myanmar, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) has been following the situation in Myanmar closely and is deeply concerned by developments and the loss that has occurred.

Myanmar is a neighboring country that PTTEP has profoundly formed a partnership for more than 30 years in petroleum exploration and production and has supplied natural gas for electricity generation in Myanmar. PTTEP continuously supports several socially responsible projects to improve the quality of lives in the communities where our operations are located. The company believes that energy plays an important role to develop basic necessity for household and industry, including the everyday lives of people, hospitals, telecommunications, educational institutions and businesses that contribute to the country’s economy.

PTTEP continues to conduct its business under Good Corporate Governance and ensures compliance to the requirements of laws and regulations, and with respects to the protection of human rights in every country we operate.

In the light of recent situation in Myanmar, PTTEP’s primary concern is for the welfare and safety of all Myanmar people. We hope the situation will resolvesoon and bring peace back to the country.
