Construction worker wins discrimination case [Canada]

A construction company must pay a former employee 20 weeks of lost wages and $8,000 for racial slurs he faced on the job, a board of inquiry has ruled. Lionel Gough of Halifax filed a complaint with the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission in 2004 against Falkenham Backhoe Services after he faced racial discrimination from his co-workers and management.
