Dhaka collapse: Death toll tops 900, as new fire kills eight [Bangladesh]

At least 912 people are now known to have died in last month's collapse of a building near the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, officials say…Most of the victims were garment factory workers…The death toll from Bangladesh's worst industrial accident on 24 April has been steadily rising in recent days…The building housed a number of garment factories. A number of officials - including the Rana Plaza's owner - have since been arrested and charged with causing deaths by negligence…In a separate development, the overnight fire at the 11-storey garment factory in Dhaka's Mirpur district killed at least eight people.
