...The Secretariat of Social Management and Dialogue of the Vice-Ministry of Territorial Governance reported that it has not been possible to implement all of the agreements resulting from the mining conflict, which is why the extension of the working group at Las Bambas has been approved. In view of this situation, the peasant communities announced that they will evaluate the resolution and a possible resumption of protests... The voices that point to the protests arise after the Executive Power approved the extension until December 31 of the working group that accompanies and evaluates the fulfilment of the commitments between the Executive, representatives of the mining company Las Bambas and the peasant communities involved in the mining conflict in Cotabambas... The leaders of the peasant communities of Fuerabamba, Chuicuni and Huancuire, speaking to La República, expressed their dissatisfaction with this extension, pointing out that the deadline is too long and that they will evaluate the resolution approving the extension in order to give a response to the central government and the mining company... They also assured that the resolution does not prevent them from demanding the agreed commitments and restarting protests...
