Target's response to Beximco Group factory closures

Can you confirm whether the facility linked to the allegation(s) is within your supply chain?

Response: Target fully exited Beximco in October of 2024.

In light of reports that a reduction in orders from buyers contributed to the factory closures, what steps did your company take to ensure that your purchasing practices, in regard to order volumes at Beximco factories, met the standard required to protect workers' rights and livelihoods?

Response: Target is committed to responsible purchasing practices, and as such, followed our Responsible Exit & Decline policy, providing maximum lead time in giving notice to Beximco of our planned exit, ensuring transparency and partnership in our communication to protect workers’ rights and livelihoods.

We request more information on the allegation(s), including what your company has done to investigate the situation and ensure remedy for workers, including addressing any outstanding payments owed to them.

Response: Upon receiving news of Beximco layoffs, Target followed up on worker payments to ensure wages were paid, though we had fully exited prior to this.
