American Eagle Outfitter's response to Beximco Group factory closures

[...]

AEO worked for approximately one year with Beximco, and the relationship ended for business reasons before we learned of these issues. Based on the brief and relatively small relationship with Beximco, AEO had no reason to believe that Beximco would not uphold its obligations to the workers, and we also had no reason to believe that the factory would shut down. Because we have not had a relationship with the company for many months, we have no ability to obtain or provide any further information about the allegations.
