Shell plc's response to allegations of climate change disinformation

"The Shell Group did not have unique knowledge about climate change. The issue of climate change and how to tackle it has long been part of public discussion and ongoing scientific research and debate for many decades. There is a vast public record of media articles, scientific journals and government reports for well over 50 years that make this clear.

Shell even produced a documentary called “Climate of Concern” in 1991, which was available to the public. Shell’s position on the issue has been publicly documented for more than 30 years, including in publications such as our Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports."
