In May 2024, it was reported that workers at JOC Garment were facing a series of violations, including wage reductions, mandatory overtime and workers facing threats and verbal abuse if they refuse to work overtime.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Burtle to respond. It did not.
