Myanmar & other govts. commit to develop National Action Plans on business & human rights, at ASEAN conference

This week the ASEAN Next-Gen CSR Forum is underway in Bali, Indonesia.

Watch Dr Aung Tun Thet, Economic Advisor to the President of Myanmar, below, on the government's intention to develop a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.

"Having a national action plan will mobilize the government, the private sector and civil society towards a better future for our country."

Michael Addo, Chair of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights welcomes the news - and is encouraged that Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia may develop National Action Plans as well.
