"Diffa: Official ceremony of reception of six classes built in the municipality by CNPC", February 10, 2021

The ceremony took place at the Médersa N'guel Madou Maï in the municipality of Diffa, which benefited from the construction of four classrooms and two others in the Kangouri school of the city, in the presence of the Mayor, the representative of CNPC-NP, the Regional Director of Oil, the Deputy Regional Director of Primary School...

In his speech at the reception of these school infrastructures, the Secretary General of the Governorate was pleased with "this support that concretely contributes to the efforts of the government aiming  to put the students and the teachers in good working conditions".

Mr. Yahaya Godi thanked the oil company "which, in parallel to its work, supports the Government in the realization of social actions for the benefit of local populations". The Secretary General recalled, to the credit of CNPC-NP, the forthcoming construction of the Power Plant to ensure the electrification of the town of N'GOURTI, the ongoing construction of the Unity Road (Oil road) that connects Diffa to N'Guigimi and the Chad border.

The representative of CNPC-NP, Mr. Timi Kaoura Zakari, recalled the investments made by his company, which range from the drilling of 20 pastoral wells and the construction of 14 classrooms in 2018; in 2019, CNPC drilled 17 pastoral wells, built 10 classrooms, 2 health care centres and donated an ambulance. In 2002, it also drilled 35 pastoral wells with watering troughs; built 21 classrooms, an administrative block, a house for the Director, a guest room and a house for the guard, for the benefit of the Regional Direction of Oil, the donation of two ambulances and the installation of 15 grain mills for the Women's Cooperatives.

Mr. Timi Kaoura Zakari emphasized that in addition to these achievements, "the CNPC-NP has donated medicines, school supplies and gifts to victims of terrorist attacks".
