Russia: More than 1000 migrant construction workers protest in Moscow over unpaid salaries

Media: Over a thousand migrants from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan demanded payment of wages at a rally in Moscow, 24 February 2023

More than a thousand employees of the construction company Crocus Group protested in Moscow...including ones from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan: they have not received their salaries for four months. This was reported by the "Present Time" TV channel.

According to the TV channel, the security guards of the Crocus Group fired traumatic weapons into the air to disperse the protesters...

The workers said that they were involved in the construction of the Levoberezhny residential complex. The holding belongs to Azerbaijani businessman Oraz Agalarov. Representatives of the company promised that they would pay salaries in early March.

Previously, employees have repeatedly complained that they were delayed in paying salaries...
